Solimene - Ceramica Artistica di Vietri

Original hand-crafted dinnerware from the Amalfi Coast in Italy

In 1954 the Solimene family worked with the architect Paolo Soleri to build one of the Europe’s most prestigious buildings of the century, Ceramica Artistica Solimene, in the small town of Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi coast in Italy. The bright, bold and colourful tableware is crafted and painted individually by hand at the factory using ancient techniques with a potter’s wheel. The products are then reinforced with lead free glaze using the very latest modern technology to ensure added strength & durability allowing you to pop them in your dishwashers.

The Divertimenti range boasts an exclusive collection which is great for both indoor and outdoor dining. Divertimenti’s most popular selection would be from the gallina chicks range and whilst this is available in 4 different designs we also stock yellow goats and a simple Mediterranean blue style. If you’re ever in London during January or June then make sure you pop into one of our stores for a wider selection of designs and seconds in the sale. You’ll be able to find new colours, shapes and designs that would envy any Solimene tableware collector.
